Norm’s Is a hometown place built by a hometown kid. It was opened in 2004 by Justin Walsh ( A.K.A. Norm ) after returning home from Chico State, where he honed his skills for entertaining. Filled with memorabilia from years of racing and hot rodding the restaurant sat 50 in the dining room and 8 at the bar.
In 2014 the restaurant was expanded 100 seats with 20 bar stools and another 40 on the patio. In 2022 Norm’s acquired more space and by April of this year will seat nearly 300 with a private event and live entertainment space named “The Gathering Room at Norm’s”.
In late 2023 Norm’s is looking to build a beer garden behind the restaurant called “The Back Yard”, which will include bocci, corn hole and other backyard games as well as an outdoor pizza oven.
The greatest thing is throughout many years and numerous expansions Norm’s remains a special place in the heart of Danville. Over the years Norm’s Place has become so much more than a restaurant, it has truly become a gathering place.
Great food and fun atmosphere. I love sitting outside on the patio. I absolutely love the chick salad. It’s the best!
